National speaker Gail Patrice will present Embellishing techniques and Sergers.

Morning session 9am to noon: Embellishing techniques. The right embellishment can take any sewing project from mundane to marvelous! Gail’s techniques are great for novices as well as experienced sewers. She will provide a trunk show with ideas, discuss how to position embellishments so they are flattering for you and your garment, and will review embellishing faux pas. Please arrive early to socialize so that we may begin promptly at 9am.

Afternoon session 1-4pm: sergers. Gail is the author of “Serger Essentials ~ Master the Basics and Beyond!” She is an expert in using sergers and all those specialty feet available for them. She will share and demonstrate ways to make those sergers work better for you. Event cost must be mailed to Darlene Hawkey-Cruikshank to hold your spot. Please also identify which session(s) you are registering for. If you register and must cancel, please do so before June 1st via email or phone call to Darlene. Refunds will not be issued after June 1st, but you may substitute another person to take your place.
