5th Saturday: Ironing Tote Project

Join us on the first 5th Saturday of the year for the Ironing Tote Project presented by Linda Doran. Your days of hauling around a bulky ironing board are over! Create a pressing mat that serves double duty that’s perfect for toting home a hot iron.
$10 event cost must be mailed to Darlene Hawkey-Cruikshank to hold your spot. Limited to Milwaukee Chapter ASG Members.
Supplies to bring:
- Outside fabric at least 19 inches by 25 inches (pick something fun, that you love)
- 1 inch binding, or fabric to make binding for the edges (coordinate it with your fashion fabric)
- Cotton or nylon webbing for handles (2 pieces at least 21 inches each) or fabric and stabilizer to
make handles (2 lengths at least 4 inches by 21 inches) It is your choice…bring longer pieces for an
over-your-shoulder or the 21 inches for tote length. - 2 matching buttons (I suggest at least ½ inch or bigger)
- Basic sewing supplies (such as coordinating thread, scissors, pins or clips for binding, marking
pens or chalk, an extra needle…just in case) - Sewing machine (or share with a friend)
